The Tracey Roberts Quartet
Tracey Roberts is an accomplished, versatile singer, songwriter and musician – her quartet is a joyful, vibrant jazz-folk-pop combo driven by herself on piano and vocals and Robbie Mercer’s effortless drum rhythms. Andy Eames adds melodic, groovin’ lines on bass and Jon Magill throws in zest and colour with saxes and flute.
Dynamic, sophisticated and lyrical, these guys serve up a tasty mix of Tracey’s original story songs and a bunch of restylised jazz and pop standards funked up with spontaneous riffs, killer vocals, much merry-making and experienced, polished musicianship. Fresh, fun and fabulous. A class act.
